News of The First Magic Convention in Indonesia Appears in The Linking Ring Magic Magazine

The first magic convention in Indonesia was held from the 11th of April 2012 to the 13th of April 2012. The magic convention was called THE GARUDA MERLION MAGIC CONVENTION. This first Indonesian magic convention was a collaboration between an Indonesian magic organization (Semarang Magic Community) and a Singaporean magic organization (International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 115 / The Great Wong Ring). The International Brotherhood of Magicians (Ring 115) contributed tremendously to the success of this first magic convention in Indonesia. Mr. Satish Kumar from the IBM 115 wrote an article about this magic convention that was published in October 2012 issue of The Linking Ring magic magazine (page 47 - 49). 

The Linking Ring magic magazine is a magazine published by a prestigious international magic organization called The International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM).

Mr. John Teo (President of IBM 115) led the group of Singaporean magicians (including the 8th Asian Magic Association (AMA) Close Up Champion, Jeremy Tan) to participate in this important magic convention. News of The First Magic Competition in Indonesia Appears in Overseas

IBM 115

In addition to an article published in The Linking Ring Magic magazine (October 2012 issue), the news of the first magic convention in Indonesia (Indonesian magic convention): The Garuda Merlion Magic Convention, also appeared in the Singapore International Brotherhood of Magician (The Great Wong Ring / Ring 115) website. It was written by the great magician, Mr. Satish Kumar (member of IBM Ring 115). The tittle of the article is "My Magical Journeys - A report on My Magic Trip to Semarang, Indonesia". 

Garuda Merlion Magic Convention took place from the 11th of April 2012 until the 13th of April 2012 (three days!) in Semarang city, Central Java Province, Indonesia. The magic convention consisted of magic shows, magic competition, magic lectures, magic dealer sessions, and fellowship.

Silvan Prayogo (an Indonesian magician) was the captain of Semarang Magic Community (July 2012 - July 2013) during the Garuda Merlion Magic Convention.

This is the first magic convention in Indonesia covered in two languages (Indonesian and English).

Garuda Merlion Magic Convention is the first magic convention in Indonesia that was organized by Semarang Magic Communiy (SMC) and The Singapore International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 115 (IBM 115 RING). The event received a tremendous and generous support from the IBM 115 RING. The first magic convention in Indonesia took place from the 11th of April 2012 until the 13th of April 2012 in Semarang city, Central Java Province, Indonesia The magic convention was called "The Garuda Merlion Magic Convention". Kabar Sulap (Magic News) is a magic magazine by Rhomedal Aquino (a famous Indonesian magician). Garuda Merlion Magic Convention was covered by three reporters from "Kabar Sulap" (Magic News) who are also rising Indonesian magician stars themselves, Rolly Burton, Maxi Deli, and Botax Red.

• 13th of April 2012, FRIDAY: Garuda Merlion Magic Convention Day 2 - Gala Magic Shows by Indonesian and Singaporean magicians.  In Istana Restaurant, MT HARYONO 836 Street, Semarang.
